School Year Abroad to China

Just recently, I was accepted to School Year Abroad China for my junior year in high school, which is a great opportunity to expand my horizons, learn a new language and get to experience a new culture.

China is a country I have been wanting to visit since I was young. I was adopted from Guilin, China and my parents have always talked about getting me there someday. When School Year Abroad offered me the chance of an entire school year in China with a host family, I immediately started filling out the application.

Now, I do have a chance to go, and I do not want money to be what stops me. School Year Abroad China's school in Beijing is expensive and even with the help of financial aid, it will still be difficult to cover all of the tuition.

The goal first goal is $2,000 by June. If I can go on this trip, I will be able to bring back a plethora of knowledge and experience to not only my school, but also my home and my life. I will be able to go back to the country I was born in and really experience what it is like. I would be exceedingly grateful for any amount of support given.
