Dear Supporters, Friends and Family,

Please see my Updates on Go Fund Me to read the latest news...

Justin Novicky here, your tomato farmer from Novicky’s Farm. Emily and I are writing you today to ask for your help in any way you can. The farm and where our passion lies is for sale. We are committed to keep Novicky's Farm sprouting. You have the opportunity to help and we have the good fortune to make our dreams come true…by remaining the owners of this amazing business.

In 2015 a friend asked me to be the face of the farm, continuing a long Bend tradition of growing food. I have built relationships with the land and the community. We care about our Vegetable Business and want to remain the steward of it.

History of the Farm
Back in 2008, our visionary and mentor Victoria Roth, a Bend favorite, survived a long battle with Cancer. Gardening became a great way to relax and recover from her illness. Victoria’s Vegetables was born and the start of what we are fighting for began! She spent seven years educating the Bend community about growing food as well as building great relationships with the locals. She hosted countless seminars and tours on the farm. We want to continue Victoria's legacy.

Today at Novicky's Farm
It is our mission at Novicky’s Farm to provide fresh, nutritious, high quality produce to our local community. We are committed to forging partnerships with other farmers, restaurants and educators, working together to create a more sustainable future for our community.

We have a passion for growing beautiful things from our Mother Earth but our bigger passion was found meeting all of you through The Tomato. Hearing how much you all loved what we grew meant the world to us. Receiving positive feedback from Ariana Restaurant, Deschutes Brewery, Worthy Brewing, Sunriver Brewing, Locavore as well as the community at each Farmers Market’s over the summers kept our motivation strong. Through food we can build community, join us!

We are so proud of what we’ve done. It would hurt us most to see our community without the tomatoes they’ve enjoyed for almost a decade.

Future of Novicky's Farm
Emily and I are working very hard for the future of Novicky's Farm. Your donations will pay for us to erect two greenhouses on the property. Your donations will be heartfelt and monumental for the success of Novicky's Farm. If you have any great ideas, we are happy to hear them. If you would like to help, of course we welcome the conversation. Even if it's just your love and support you can give, we appreciate it. Thank you in advance for your help.

We have some exciting news to share with all of you! Mission Accomplished! Save Novicky's Farm has tackled the first hurdle... finding a new property! After our Bend Bulletin article hit the stands in December, Emily and I were overwhelmed with proposals of properties to grow on. Soo many people reached out and it was so powerful! We thank you all! Ultimately, we decided it was best for our farm to live on the same property we grow on to be attentive to the plants needs. Novicky's Farm is happy to announce that Brian and Terese Jarvis of Bend have opened their hearts and their land to keep the business thriving!

Mr and Mrs Jarvis own a beautiful nine acre property, ten miles outside of Bend, on Cline Falls Hwy in Tumalo! Emily and I can't be more grateful for the opportunity to cultivate sustainably grown produce for all our fans. Yes, you heard correct, Novicky's Farm is going to transform it's growing to an ecologically friendly, composting method utilizing the 50 chickens that we have on the property.

As some of you visited our old property on Cimarron, we will continue the self serve, honor system vegetable and now egg stand! You will be able to make the short drive to Novicky's Farm where we will give tours by appointment, but you will always get fresh farmer's market goods. We are also going to be incorporating two beehives on the property so that honey can eventually be a part of our program. We are excited about these great plans.

As we would never want to ask for help, we are at a once in a lifetime opportunity. Your heartfelt Go Fund Me donations will pay for us to erect two greenhouses as early as March or April. 500 Tomato Seeds arrived by mail today! Emily and I will begin seeding on the first weekend of February. When all this crazy snow melts away, we will begin the three day construction on the first of two greenhouses to grace the property. With the views of the Cascades, our tomato plants are going to thrive beautifully! We have already received over $5,000 in donations on the Go Fund Me page and privately combined. The whole heartedness has been monumental and we can't thank you all enough! Two greenhouses cost roughly $13,000 total and with the team of volunteers excited to build the first one, we seek more donations.

We are excited to harvest pound after hundreds of pounds of Tomatoes for all of you! Along with the eggs from our free range chickens, we will be harvesting other delicious vegetables including Basil and an Heirloom Novicky Onion from Slovakia! We are certain that 2017 is going to be the transforming year for Emily and I, along with Novicky's Farm and the Jarvis Family! You can visit our Go Fund Me Page at the link below. You will appreciate the video that we made for the campaign page. Thank you in advance for all of your donations. Please contact us if you have any questions.
