Sandy Salinas, was loving husband, father, son, and friend. He was first diagnosed with osteosarcoma cancer at the age 20. It is a type of bone cancer. He has been fighting this battle ever since. He fought until he couldn't anymore at the age 28. He was a talented soccer player, and the cancer caused the amputation of his leg. It jumped from body part to body part. First started in his leg, and thankfully he lived through, that 3 years later the cancer jumped to his lungs. He was getting treated in Honduras, with chemotherapy, the doctors told him he had to get to the United States within a week or he would not survive due to the lack of techonology. Within a week he came to the United States, and thankfully he was given residency and health insurance. They performed a surgery and a lot of chemotherapy and survived once again. 6 months later (December 15, 2016) the doctors detected a cancerous tumor in his brain, which lead them to perform Nuero surgery to remove the tumor. The doctors said he would either become blind or paralyzed and the chances of him being normal again were very low. Thankfully God did a miracle and he was back to normal! One year later, Feb, of 2017 he was not feeling good and came back to the Hospital. The doctors said the cancer is too far out now and there's not much they can do. He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer with another tumor in his brain. They could not perform surgery because there was too much brain damage. His brain suffered inflammation which caused it to shut down. He has now passed away. This has been a long journey for him, his wife, daughter and family. He fought for 8 long years! He was positive every step of the way. He did not complain about his life, he always hoped for the best. He stayed happy for his daughter which is 3 years old. That it what kept him fighting. He adored her. He would try and take her to the park to give her a father daughter experience for as long as he could live! He is a free spirit, a happy soul, selfless, loving, caring, and with the most contagious smile. The love he had for people was incredible. Despite his circumstances he was the life of the party. This has been devastating to all. We are fundraising for his funeral, any amount of donation is appreciated. We are asking for your support wether it is financially or spiritually. Please join us in prayer for strength and deliverance. For he is so loved by all.
