Wrestling friends and family our son Ti Lockwood has qualified as a Greco 120lb. Cadet for Team Oklahoma and is the ONLY 7th grader (most being 8th, 9th and 10th graders) out of all 50 qualifiers weights 88-285 only taking the top 3 placers!! While this is an amazing achievement he needs your help getting to Fargo!! We are trying to raise $850+7.9% that gofundme.com charges which is a total cost of $917.15. Any extras will go towards other tournaments like the Southern Plains Duals, travel to Dodge City, and extras for Ti. Our 1st $500 deposit is due April 24th at 11:59 pm!! A little story behind Ti's wrestling journey to qualifying for Team Oklahoma his 1st year as a Cadet. Ti started wrestling at the age of 4, he wanted to be on the wrestling mat from the time he started crawling. One would think a child who wants to wrestle that bad would be absolutely amazing and win every match, but that unfortunately was not the case. Ti would face the next 8 years losing more matches then we can count. As a matter of fact he would only place at maybe 10 tournaments total. Now there were times he wanted to quit wrestling and never look back. It killed him to watch all of his friends placing and winning every weekend year after year. But he continued to come back and wrestle each year in 2014-2015 Ti turned the corner and started finding his groove he went to Junior High State in the 6th and 7th division and lost his 1st match having to battle back and win 6 matches straight placing 3rd!! He has continued to improve and work even harder starting freestyle for the 1st time last year 2015 and Freestyle/Greco this year 2016!!
