Rami Soufi MemorialScholarship Fund
In tribute to the life of Rami Soufi, that was ended too early, his colleagues at Bayer Environmental Science, his extended family, have decided to create a scholarship. The intent is to enable students in the sciences to travel, to further their education and support activities that they would normally not be able to afford. Colleagues from across our industry are invited to contribute to this fund. We knew Rami as a great and caring man, who was always there for his family, colleagues and friends, whether as a mentor, advisor or just to engage in great conversation.+ Read More
The Rami Soufi Travel Scholarship Fund has been set up with The Ohio State University Foundation and managed by Jennifer E Heller, Director of Development at the College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Riverwatch Tower Suite 1B, 364 W. Lane Ave, Columbus, OH 43201. The team remains most grateful for the contributions to the fund which reached an amazing $15, 600. As we give thanks to our families and friends at this Thanksgiving raise a glass to this glorious man.
Dear friends and colleagues of Rami, Jake Doskocil and I have established a bank account to withdraw the considerable funds under our names, > $15,000, which we intend to transfer to a university agricultural foundation account at Ohio State University as soon as we can. Sana, his daughter, is a freshman there and we think this as most appropriate. We will keep you updated with the progress and will also ask for feedback on how best to distribute the funds from the foundation to worthy students whom may not be as fortunate to be able to fund travel to congresses or foreign exchanges. I thank you all for contributing to a living memory of this great man, with best personal regards Richard Rees
What a fantastic response to the first days of our campaign to provide a scholarship fund for our dear friend and colleague Rami Soufi. We have raised over $10,000 and continue to set the target higher. Let's continue his legacy and encourage our colleagues to add to this tribute.
