The GoFourth! Festival is Lawrence's new and bigger Fourth of July festival. We are now in Burcham Park with more vendors, more music, more kids activities and a car show. We want to have more fireworks too!
Do you enjoy the fireworks over the Kansas River every July 4th? The City of Lawrence has donated $5,000 to purchase fireworks for the annual celebration but the event organizers need $12,000 to put on the kind of show that Lawrencians have come to know and love. If you enjoy coming downtown each year with your friends and family to celebrate the 4th of July with a spectacular fireworks display, would you consider donating some money toward the fireworks display?
We will all be grateful and excited about your donation as we watch the show this Fourth of July. Each dollar donated here will go directly to the purchase of the best fireworks we can buy. You will be able to take great patriotic pride when you watch the show this year, knowing you played an important part.
