Oscar's Bone Marrow Transplant

My son, Oscar Peterson-Veatch, was diagnosed with a rare blood disease called Severe Aplastic Anemia in summer 2018.  Doctors determined that bone marrow transplant was the best treatment for a good long-term outcome, so we embarked on that journey in July.  We live in Kansas, but decided that the best medical team for his circumstances was the one at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.  That meant we have had to separate our family and maintain two households since July of 2018.  This is becoming very taxing financially for us.  

His transplant was on 9/11 of 2018, after a week of chemo to eradicate the sick bone marrow he had.  The new bone marrow is engrafting well, but he and his mom, Erika, have had to stay close to the hospital for the last 6 months and they will be there through May of 2019.  

We are using money not only for medical bills, but also for expenses related to staying close to the hospital - rent for an apartment, transportation for Oscar and Erika to the hospital, transportation for Oscar's brother, Arthur, and I (his dad - Ross) to visit.  

We do have insurance, family are helping, and we are getting as many grants as we can from foundations and non-profit organizations, but if you could spare a donation, we would be very grateful.  Every dollar you help with means we get closer to being able to pay for Oscar's long-term care, and visits to clinic for the next year and a half.
