NINA of the Rottie Family

NINA is a member of The Rottie Famiily of Houston, TX.
The Rottie Family is Mom - Nala, Dad - Sasha, 5 month old Bella, and 5 month old Nina.
The family was dumped at a landfill site in Houston, TX. The family had been living on their own at the dump for quite a while judging by their serious medical conditions.
Our, Rescue, A Rottie Rescue, Inc., in Fort Worth TX was asked to step in and help with Rescue of the family.
Without hesitation, we stepped up to provide immediate Rescue and medical treatment for the family.
Nala, Sasha, and Bella were rescued from the site and transported immediately to Abbott Veterinarian Clinic on 11.12.2016, but Nina was not present at the time of the Rescue. A search was conducted, but she could not be found.
Following our Rescue of Nala, Sasha and Bella, Rescuers who had been feeding the family reported that one of the puppies, now named Nina, was sick and injured. They advised us that she had not been seen for over a day at the time the other family members were rescued.
Rescuers search the dump site for 3 days on the 12th, 13th and 14th. They could not find Nina. We feared the worst. Then there was a MIRACLE!
On 11.14.2016, We were notified that the Harris County, TX shelter had an injured and sick 5 month old female Rottweiler puppy that might be our sick and injured puppy. We compared photos and YES!!! The puppy was our NINA!!!! A Good Samaritan had seen her on a road next to the dump site and had turned her in to the shelter on 11.11.2016!
Nina ws released by the Harris County, TX shelter to our Rescue, A Rottie Rescue, Inc.. She was immediately transported to Abbott Animal Clinic for treatment and to be reunited with her family. What a glorious reunion it was! The reunion videos can be viewed on our FB page "A Rottie Rescue, Inc". We arranged for emergency transport the following morning for Nina to be brought to the I-20 Animal Hospital in Arlington, TX. Upon arrival, Nina, was admitted to ICU.
Sadly, Nina will need to have her left hind leg amputated due to multiple breaks and infection that has set into the bone. The surgery is scheduled is for Monday, 11.21,2016 at I-20 Animal Hospital, Arlington, TX.
Nina's estimated charges for her emergency ICU care and surgery at I-20 Animal Clinic, Arlington, TX are $4500. We have received $1400 in pledges.
$4500 - $1400 (pledges received) = $3100
