Myron Noodleman Benefit
Rick Hader, the man behind the lovable sports entertainer known by millions as Myron Noodleman, is in a very difficult fight with a rare form of cancer that is being very destructive . After initial surgery and treatment, he is now in great danger of losing one eye while still battling the presence of the cancer. This has kept him from performing all last baseball season and keeping him from his other job as a high school teacher. Funds will be used to help with his inability to work while also going thru extensive medical treatments. Myron Noodleman has thrilled sport fans all across North America since the mid 90's with his antics and comedy. All who ever enjoyed a good laugh or special moment with the Clown Prince of Baseball are encouraged to do what you can to show some love and help at this time of need.+ Read More
Richard Hader, a/k/a Myron Nooodleman, a/k/a The Clown Prince of Baseball, and beloved teacher, husband and father passed at 2:59am November 1, 2017 in the company of his loving family and friends. On behalf of them, thank all of you from your generous support and wonderful words. To my friend and client I have inadequate words to express my appreciation for what you brought to my life - its the laughs and memorable times I will miss the most. You were a true pro and a warrior of comedy. Rest well my friend, nothing but smooth sailing now, no more flight delays for you.
The overwhelming out pouring of support and well wishes from all over America has been both appreciated and noted by the family and friends of Rick Hader. Just as the initial goal reached 98.5% complete, more and more word is getting out. Thus, with little knowledge of how this process works, the goal was just doubled for the purpose of accommodating the growing awareness and generosity. There has not been time to provide updates and I'm very saddened to report that the news is not good. Rick is in the hospital surrounded by many loved ones and the only care measures are to provide for his comfort. Since the posting of this campaign less than a week ago, Rick's condition has worsened and surviving the spreading cancer is no longer a hope. During times of dwindling states of awareness his humor continues. He is being Rick and Myron to the end. All funds raised will go to his wife Kim and will surely help with what has been a long ordeal for the entire family. I am so humbled by the response of all of you on so many levels although no one should be surprise that so much love be given to the man that brought so much joy to the world. I promise to use this forum to provide updates. Thank you to all of you. - jon
The first 20 hours of the GoFundMe initiative for Rick Hader (the man inside Myron Noodleman) has been so inspiring. Thanks to all for the donations but also for the well wishes and words of encouragement and love. All of this is being shared with Rick and I absolutely know it will be very humbling and uplifting for him. There's a lot of work needed to connect with all the teams he performed for over the past decades but it will be done. Any help in sharing this campaign is greatly appreciated.
