Matching Challenge Grant

Want to join me in making a difference?  Your donation will be doubled during the month of May!!  Hearts to Homes (H2H) has been challenged to raise $20,000 in the month of May in honor of National Foster Care Awareness Month!  If we are successful in meeting this challenge, H2H will be able to offer its services to 20 more young adults who age out of foster care in New York City and Westchester County so that they will have the essential furnishings they need in their first, independent apartment.  Too many of these young adults age out into nearly empty apartments, some with not much more than a mattress on the floor! We find that to be unacceptable given the challenges they have already faced in their young lives.  Your donation today will be doubled and will be used to purchase over 80 items such as  couches, pots and pans, bath towels, comforter sets and cleaning supplies. 

More information about Hearts to Homes Furnishings, Inc.: The mission of Hearts to Homes is to assist newly independent young adults who have just aged out of foster care. This assistance alleviates some of the stress during the initial transition by providing the essentials to furnish a new home.
