The Mansfield Muddies are...
The Mansfield State School Amateur Swimming Club has a proud history of providing lessons, squads and competition swimming to our local community. The club was established in 1976, and with the dedicated fundraising efforts of a small group of parents, the pool was opened 5 years later. Over 40 years on, the club and swim program is still administered by a dedicated group of volunteers as a not for profit organisation delivering inclusive, cost effective learn to swim programs to our school community and beyond.
Currently we have over 200 swimmers across learn to swim and squad programs and about 100 that compete in our club nights every Wednesday.
We are Heating the Pool because...
A heat-exchange electric pool heater changes the game for the Muddies. It enables us to provide lessons and squads year round to our extended school community of over 4000 students across our two Mansfield campuses.
We are so lucky to have such a great facility at our school - now is the opportunity to extend its reach and help grow the Muddies program and support our kids in the pool. A successful swim program will support not just our swimmers but all kids in the Mansfield School community with all profits from our programs being re-invested in the school through our very active P&C Association.
