Project Buhera – Charity shipment of medical equipment and necessity items
The Lions Club of Angle Vale is undertaking a major project to ship a 40 foot container of medical equipment and other items to Buhera, one of the least developed districts in Zimbabwe.
Your donation towards the $20,000 cost is greatly appreciated and will support improvements in Buhera’s under-resourced healthcare system.
The container contents primarily include medical equipment acquired through the closure of the former Royal Adelaide Hospital and other regional hospitals in South Australia that can be put to great use in Buhera. The equipment will be distributed to the district’s Murambinda Hospital and 29 health clinics.
Our goal is to send the container during the second half of 2018. Your donation will help us cover the significant freight costs and associated fees in getting the equipment to Zimbabwe.
Additionally, we welcome donations of other health/hygiene/household items (as per the image above), which will be packed into the container to maximise the support we can provide to Buhera’s disadvantaged schools and families.
