Dobson Academy, an Arizona Ball Charter School, is pleased to announce that our Jr. High Cheerleading Team has advanced to the USA Jr. Spirit Nationals to be held in the Charles M. Schulz Theatre in Knotts Berry Farm on Sunday, February 28, 2016. This winning Cheer team has an opportunity to face other Jr. High Cheer teams from around the country. USA Jr. Spirit Nationals is the final national competition for the competitive cheerleading season.
Dobson Academy cannot draw any funds from the core operational budget which goes directly into our classrooms to support athletic programs. Tax dollars will be kept in the classrooms. Every extra-curricular sport program at Dobson Academy receives 100% of its funding from a combination of Tax Credit donations, participation fees and fundraising done by the Dolphins Booster Club.
Through the regional and league competitions our fifth through eighth grade cheerleading team has been able to support itself. Now as they anticipate the U.S. Final level, the team is actively raising the $2,000 necessary to make the trip and compete with their national rivals. This is a wonderful opportunity for Dobson Academy and Arizona schools to be represented in a positive way at the national level.
We are asking you and/or your business to assist our school and parents by supporting this truly great adventure for our students. Any financial assistance you can give will be sincerely appreciated.
