Knox Presbyterian Church Gate
Donation protected
As members of Knox Presbyterian Church, 73 Larch Street, we are concerned about the abundance of needles that are being left on our property. Since the methadone clinic has been downtown we have, on a daily basis, needles left in the walkway between our building and 83 Larch. Along with the problem of needles, we also have people defecating and urinating on our church walls and some even sleeping at our doors. This is unacceptable in our downtown.
As a result of these issues Knox is forced to purchase and install a secure gate for the safety of our membership and that of the Downtown community. We are requesting the assistance of the community to help us have a safe place for our congregation to attend, which includes many seniors and children.
A local company will be fabricating a gate to meet our needs. However, the cost is over $7,000.00.
We appreciate your donations and support.
