Kaleb Angelo’s Heart Surgery

As a lot of you know, my son Kaleb Angelo has many health issues that stop him from living a regular 5 month old life. Being pregnant with Kaleb I learned he had a complex heart. I knew it would a lot to deal with but I never imagined it being this hard. Kaleb has been hospitalized for about 2 months now for multiple reasons. We’ve had our good days & our bad, from being a happy, silly baby, drinking bottles and laughing to being intubated, fighting an infection for his life and needing CPR to be brought back twice.. 

Throughout Kaleb’s life he will need about 3 surgeries to make his little heart as normal as possible. One of these surgeries will happen very soon on May, 23rd in Dallas, Texas. There is a very good hospital in Dallas with more surgeons than we have here in Austin. If Kaleb doesn’t tolerate this open heart surgery well enough, we will start looking into a transplant shortly after his surgery. Kaleb’s cardiologist explained to us that we could be in Dallas waiting for Kaleb to recover for up to 6 months. Being in the hospital for so long has taken it’s toll on all of us. Things have been rough for us, emotionally, financially, and physically. Work hasn’t been an option for us since we are here with Kaleb around the clock. 

With that being said, we are asking family, friends, and even strangers with a good heart if you can, please help us raise money for this stay in Dallas.
