Help Joseph Continue Treatments

Donation protected
Joseph Sesay once again needs your help!  Though his surgery this fall was a success, Joseph is going to need additional corrective eye surgery and has been granted permission to remain in Boise through the next school year for additional medical procedures, follow-up exams, and therapy.  However, in order for all of this to occur, we are forced to ask for additional support, to the tune of $8,800.

Right now, Joseph is classified as an exchange student and is in the United States on a J-1 visa.  In order for Joseph to remain for this second year, he must change his visa status to F-1 (an international student).  Further, as an international student, we must pay the Boise School District tuition totaling $8,800 for the year. Unfortunately, this is a federal law, and there’s no way around it.

Although changing Joseph's visa is costly choice, the fact remains that he will not be able to receive the treatment he needs if he returns to Sierra Leone; important medical treatments and therapy services are not available to him there.  Joseph needs these treatments to realize his full potential with his new vision.

Many of you have already given so much to Joseph. You've opened your hearts and your wallets to help him experience a whole new world to regain his vision. Thank you for your past support and for your consideration of this new request.
