Deposit For A Home Next To My Job

I just got a new job! Someone is offering to to give me a room without having to worry about credit but I need a deposit. The place is right next to my work place so it's extremely convenient. The deposit is $660 more, that's all I need. I finally see a door open and the deposit is the only thing holding me back. I have references if you need more proof.
