Hello, I'm Sadie and I'm a 32-year-old transgender woman! :)
I want to be able to walk down the street without harassment and violence for being a trans woman. I want to look in the mirror and see the person I am on the inside reflected back. I want to show up for job interviews and make it past the first question. I want my day-to-day interactions to feel less scary. I want the way I intuitively know myself to be to be the way I am perceived in the world.
I've been transitioning medically for about 6 years and have dreamed of Facial Gender Confirmation Surgery since I found out it existed. FGCS is a suite of customized reconstructive surgical procedures designed to align a transgender woman's facial features with the way they may have looked before being exposed to testosterone.
The two procedures I plan on having done are a "feminizing nose job" and an "Adam's apple reduction". After different consultations and many back-and-forths, I've chosen my surgeon and am really happy with my decision.
Having these procedures done will massively relieve a large part of my persistent, debilitating gender dysphoria. They will also greatly increase my mobility, opportunities, and confidence in a hostile world.

Open septorhinoplasty w/osteotomy - $8,000
Tracheal shave with needle localization - $4,000
Anesthesia and operating room fees - $4,535

Plus two weeks off work recovery time.
