Help Jayna stay in Ellington

We are the grandparents of Jayna E. Brown (in red in the video).  Jayna is a Vocal student at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington DC.  Jayna is no stranger to adversity. She’s been dealing with family hardships for much of her high school life. Singing has been her source of joy. She was declared homeless in her sophomore year but was able to find a place to live. However, family hardships struck again and she had to move in with us in Fort Washington, Maryland or be homeless. Because Jayna must live with us in Maryland, she is now being asked to pay tuition to continue her education in DC at Ellington. If we could help her we would.  In order to complete her senior year she will have to pay tuition in the amount of $13,003.00, and we need your help and donations to help her reach this goal and graduate from Ellington with her Class of 2019. Jayna has only 8 months left until graduation. We are asking for your help so that she can graduate from Ellington with her class and friends. At Ellington she is an Honor Roll student and an outstanding vocal student. She is the current winner of the 5th Annual Virginia Williams Opera Prize for 2018, a Dual Enrollment student at Georgetown University, as well as a member of the school’s Student Advisory Committee. Please help Jayna in her time of need so that she can graduate from Ellington. Thank you so much for your help. Her Grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Therome E. and Yolande D. Brown.
