Help Cover Aunty's Legal Costs!

*Copied from the Subtle Asian Traits post*

May I have a moment of your time?
This is my close family friend that I call my aunt. I bought her some flowers and another gift for a Christmas/New Year to see a smile on her face - like the pretty sunflowers.

Recently, her kiwi husband of 18years kicked her out of the house after her son that lives in Australia visited and told his father to sell the house as he fell into debt. Her husband told her to get out immediately as they are selling the house and that she’s getting nothing. My aunt, along with the rest of the Thai community, has poor English and couldn’t stand to defend herself in the face of the two men. She was forced out of the house with nothing but herself and her personal belongings, nowhere to go. Luckily, my family was the only family she knew that lived nearby and could help her with a law case that involved a lot of English.

Currently my family is helping her claim half the house that she’s lived in and helped maintain for the past - almost 2 decades, along with defending her against all their claims, such as that she stole from them, didn’t take care of her husband, and endangered him when she visited her aged and I’ll mother in Thailand.

Not only are we fighting an uphill battle in regards to her weak English abilities, but during the years she was married to her husband, her income went to feeding him, maintaining the house, and charity. Simply, she is also fighting to afford the very expensive legal assistance she needs.

Thank you so much if you’ve read this far, I just wanted to show everyone in this community how wicked some people can be to asian people such as ourselves, and Thai people, that from what I see, Thai wives to White husbands get taken advantage of and used. Thai people, along with South East, and other asian people, are THE hardest working people I know, they are the nicest, most giving people, and my aunt is no exception. When I gave her her gifts, she started crying and said (in Thai) ‘Oh man at least my child her loves me, someone loves me!’

I pity her the most so I’d like for you guys to wish her a happy new year and blessings for her legal cases, I’d like to see her happy during a time of immense stress on her. Thank you SAT fam ❤️

Now in regards to these pictures, first one is me giving the flowers to her, second is a thai note that I attached to the sunflowers it reads ‘ดอกไม่แพ้ไป่ก่อน, แต่เรื่องขึ้นศาลเดี๋ยวเราชนะ!’ Translated: be allergic (in Thai, being allergic and ‘losing’ something is the same word) to flowers now, but as for the lawsuit, we’ll win!’ -yea she’s allergic to flowers but I got them anyways because they were pretty. Thirdly, the pretty flowers.
