My name is Laci and I have a 10 yr old daughter, Whitney. I am a single mom and also 6 months pregnant at this time. We've had a really tough last few months and I honestly don't know how we've made it this far.
Forced to find a new home, I have been exhaustingly looking for work but nothing solid has worked out for me yet, and with a bigger belly growing fast, my options have become alot slimmer.
I've decided to enroll myself back in school where I will be pursuing an online bachelors degree to better myself as a provider for my children and truly give them the life they deserve.
I was recently awarded a full pell grant but with school not starting until January 12th, I won't be receiving my grant money until 3 weeks after the start of school, which will help out my financial situation once I receive it, along with a few work at home opportunities I am now exploring since apparently not many companies are fond of hiring a pregnant woman.
My problem now is that I have 2 months rent to come up with before the start of school and very little resources at this time, and with this month's rent (December) due by the 3rd, have decided to post for help as a last, but very humbling resort.
I need to about $800 more by the 3rd of this month or I will be facing eviction...and another $900 by the 3rd of January, but really just focusing on the immediate due at this time. With not much food in the house right now, I can't even think about Christmas...
I have never done anything like this and I'm just hoping that someone will see this and if possible can find it in their heart to help.
I know that this couldn't come at the worst time of the year with the holidays and all and I want everyone to know that yes, I am desperate and will do whatever I can to keep a stable roof over my child's head and food on the table for her, let alone this growing baby boy inside. This may seem a little too personal for some, but until you've walked it, you really have no idea... I've got nothing to left to lose at this point. This is a situation that I never intended or expected to be in and I am doing everything in my power to get out of this hole of life that I've fallen into, back on my feet and on track to be the best mom and provider that I can be. This has all been by far the toughest time of my life...
To anyone who can help with any amount at all, big or small, I love you and appreciate you more than words can say.
