Grand Land Sanctuary

Hello there, I'm beginning this fundraising effort for Grand Land Sanctuary. The owner has dedicated her life to animal rescue. After returning to her childhood home, she was finally allowed to fulfill her dream of running a shelter for rescued animals. Unfortunately, there hasn't been much money left to spend on animal supplies due to the property's condition, having sat empty for more than six years while the estate was being settled. Kind donations will help it stay afloat since Grand Land Sanctuary has been operating entirely on personal funds. Over time, expenses like food, bedding, and numerous medical bills have increased. Over the last five months three of Grand Land’s furry family members have had major surgery, one healed beautifully, another is still in recovery, and the third did not survive long after surgery. Each operation had an expense of over $3,000, not including take home medications, which in total for all three was roughly around $10,000. Everyone at Grand Land Sanctuary works as hard as possible in order to pay for expenses, which without saying is extremely difficult. Any kind of funding will help us succeed in our mission of helping those that so desperately need it.

If we are able to receive the help that is needed with funding then we will also have the opportunity to extend our service to animals beyond the walls of the sanctuary. A new section of the property will be able to open that focuses on the homeless community that owns K-9s as companions. This program is a stop-off, allowing the animals to have food and water before continuing with their journey, as well as providing a care package that includes everything a K9 will need while living among the homeless community; with proper funding this could be expected to open by the end of next summer of 2023.
