Gidien R. Frank Mucolipidosis Fund

As some of you know my nephew Gidien was diagnosed with Mucolipidosis also know as I-Cell at birth.  I-Cell is type 2 of 4 of Mucolipidosis. This condition is rare & only affects 1 in 100,000 to 400,000.  This is a fatal disease where enzymes aren’t able to breakdown or convert chemicals within his cells which slowly stops the growth of bone, muscle, nerves and organs. Since this has been diagnosed at such a young age  we can get things going faster and reduce the affects on his cells. In June 2019 Gidien had craniosynostosis surgery to separate the plate on one side of his head. The surgery went well with no complications and he exceeded everyone’s expectations. They were able to get the strip of his skull removed and did some other forming of his bones where they were misshaping his head. We can already tell a drastic difference in the way his head looks. 
Gidien is a happy baby and a pleasure to be around. His little smile is intoxicating. Already people are sharing stories with us about how Gidien has influenced them or their children. The pour out of love and support from our family and friends has been so encouraging.
  Due to Gidien's condition his parents have accumulated some high medical bills and we are wanting to be a blessing to their family.
