Frankie's Fearless Fight

Donation protected
On Thursday, June 27th, 2019 Frankie became our guardian angel.

He spent the last six months fighting hard against cancer but never without hope and a smile.  He was courageous and strong up until the end.  In the end he was surrounded by his wife, father and sister.  He was so peaceful and it was beautiful.

He taught us all so much but mostly he taught us unconditional love for family, friends and life is too short so enjoy every second of it!  .   We are so grateful for everyone who reached out to Frankie during his fight!  It lifted his spirits, it made him smile and he felt so blessed to be loved by so many........but we now know how much time he spent always checking in with others and sending others his love.

In his memory we ask that you laugh more, love harder and be present.  We continue to be grateful for all your support, prayers and donations.  As Frankie said in his last post in May "Finally I just wanted to say that I love all of you! I really do. You all made a difference in my life and my family’s life and I will never forget you. I love you all!"

We miss you Frankie!!!

Letter From Frankie:

May 2019

Hi All!

I feel blown away by your kindness. From prayers, to texts, to emails of love and support!  I feel very blessed. Jennifer you are amazing.

I apologise for not updating everyone sooner but I’m still fighting the good fight.  Unfortunately, I have been pretty sick.  My first few rounds of chemo didn’t go as planned and we switched to a different chemo. The tumors continue to grow and are more aggressive than anyone originally thought. The doctors say there is not much more they can do and believe these are my last couple months.  Naturally being as stubborn as I am, I refuse to give in.

I have received  another doctors opinion who would be willing to try a treatment of immunotherapy which is very expensive and not without its own very big risks.  We are simultaneously exploring with a fourth doctor in the states using cryotherapy. This treatment is effectively freezing off the cancer.  I am trying every alternative I can get my hands on including a cancer clinic next week. You name it I’ve been trying it or have it on my list. To name a few Hyperbaric Chambers, Ozone therapy, infra red, high vitamin C iv, RIFE machine, supplements from mushrooms to apricot kernels!
So please keep those prayers coming!  Keep donating or even sharing my gofundme page. Your donations, however big or small are really helping me and my family.  I hate asking for help and I know many of you have given already but these new and existing costs have been more than I ever imagined and I never expected I wouldn’t be able to go back to work. So, I swallow my pride and say that any further donations are very welcome!

Finally I just wanted to say that I love all of you! I really do. You all made a difference in my life and my family’s life and I will never forget you. I love you all!

Frankie

January 2019
Shortly before Christmas, my brother Frankie went to his doctor because he was having problems swallowing.   The results came back that he has stage 4 cancer in his esophagus, lymph nodes, and liver with statistics that are not in his favor. While the diagnosis is heavy, he fully intends on  fighting to beat the odds, is staying extremely positive and has seen every moment of this holiday season as a blessing

He spent the Holidays in London with his gorgeous family while also juggling countless doctor appointments.   They are continuing to run more tests, working with doctors in the UK and US.   He is getting chemo to shrink the tumors however the tumors are inoperable.  The test results will reveal if there are other options he may have to help him.  There are amazing strides in cancer treatment recently. Immunotherapy treatment, alternative treatments and other potential trials. But many are not covered by insurance and immunotherapy as an example is extremely expensive.

Frankie is a fighter and  continues celebrating life.   He is starting this journey with the support of all his friends and family that love him.  He fully intends to beat the odds so he is able to go to his girls school dance, bring his son to his first Yankee game,  grow old with his beautiful wife....and of course continue to bug his little sister and brother!!!  We all have stories about Frankie that will make you laugh until your stomach hurts!   We created this fund to help he and his family with anticipated medical bills and other expenses they may need to navigate through this time.   We would also like to use this space where you can communicate with Frankie,  share some fun Frankie stories, and raise his spirits!  Laughter is a huge part of who the Palamara's are and I would love to include that laughter as part of this journey!  These stories will not only bring smiles to Frankie, but can be a place where his kids will get to know their dad and how many people he has touched.  Many of you have expressed wanting to donate or help in some way.  If this is the avenue you choose to help, thank you.  And thank you for all the love, support and prayers!
