Algonquin Founders’ Days is a celebration of the Community put on by the Community.
Back by popular demand please join us in celebrating the return of Algonquin Founders' Days back to our Historic Downtown District in our recently renovated “Towne Park". Our theme this year will be "The Turn of the Century".
Our goal is to enhance and build upon the traditional offerings with this great community event. We offer great entertainment and tasty food options we hope to bring even more participation and growth this year. Not to mention our sensational fireworks display along our beautiful Fox River front.
We are reaching out to you on behalf of the Algonquin Founders’ Days! For the past 55 years the town festival has been brought to the community by a dedicated group of volunteers.
Founders’ Days is an opportunity for Friends, Neighbors and Businesses to come together and enjoy a family friendly four-day event, with many activities for everyone. The Special Needs Carnival, the Cardboard Boat Regatta, Children’s Games, the Bag Tournament, Market & Bazaar, the Bake Off. We have one of the longest standing parades in the state. These are just a few of the activities held during the festival.
As a self-sustaining festival without assistance from tax dollars, we look to our Residents, Business Community and Organizations for assistance with the festivities. Donations and Sponsorships help offset the various costs involved such as insurance, tent/chair rentals; as well as our fantastic fireworks display and entertainment, among other expenses. Simply put, without our Donations and Sponsors we would not be able to have an Algonquin Founders’ Days festival.
