Finleys Fund

We are raising money for Finley, to be able to provide essential equipment and sensory items to improve his quality of life. Finley is my son, who was born having contracted a virus called Cytomegalovirus (or cCMV). This virus was undetected during pregnancy and it has had devestating effects on Fin. He was born with severe brain damage, which has caused cerebral palsy, epilepsy, global development delay. He is unable to eat anything orally so is totally dependant on being fed via a tube. He is blind and needs to have regular hearing tests, as with his condition it is common for children to lose their hearing. He cannot sit, roll, walk and needs help with every aspect of his life. At birth he was given just two days to live, but he is a fighter, and here is still determined to prove the professionals wrong. We have been able to get help with the basic equipment he needs, however there is still so much he needs to provide a comfortable and fulfilling life. We are determined to raise money to provide Fin with equipment and sensory items that is simply to expensive for us to purchase without the help of people donating.
We are just a normal, everyday family. Finley has three amazing siblings who help care for him and love him very much. We have ups and downs in our life with Finley, but he is an amazing boy who I am proud to call my son. His condition is life limiting, so we want to make it as enjoyable and comfortable as it can possibly be.
