Support Laura's Road to Recovery

Dear Family and Friends,

I hope this message finds you well, although the news I have to share is concerning. Laura, someone very dear to us all, has recently undergone a serious health ordeal. I am writing to provide you with an update on her condition and to ask for your support during this challenging time.

Laura encountered a severe infection in her small intestine, which unfortunately led to sepsis. The gravity of her situation required immediate medical attention, and she was swiftly admitted to critical care. Subsequently, she underwent surgery where a significant portion—15 inches—of her small intestine had to be removed. The ordeal didn't end there; the infection also led to complications such as a partially collapsed lung and costochondritis, further adding to her distress.

Currently, Laura's medical team is closely monitoring her progress. While her hemoglobin levels are gradually improving, she still faces a road to recovery that will require considerable care and attention. Complicating matters is the fact that Laura lives alone with her four beloved pups. Fortunately, her sister and business partner have been by her side since the onset of this ordeal, offering invaluable support. However, the road ahead will be long, and Laura will require additional assistance, particularly in the form of home nursing care once she is discharged from the hospital.

At this juncture, Laura will also need logistical support, such as transportation to and from medical appointments. It's important to note that certain services, like home mobile care, may not be fully covered by insurance, adding to the financial strain of this already challenging situation.

In light of these circumstances, I humbly ask for your support.
