The Marks Family

Dear MVBP Family,

In times of adversity, it's the strength of our community that truly shines. Today, I reach out to you with a heartfelt plea to come together and support one of our own: Kate Marks and her family.

Kate, the courageous mother of Teddy Marks, has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. This Wednesday is the beginning of her chemotherapy treatments, a journey that will undoubtedly demand strength, resilience, and unwavering support.

The Marks are a miliary family that moved to our community last summer and have swiftly become an integral part of our MVBP family. I have had the pleasure of having Teddy on our Pinto team the last two seasons. Teddy, in his first year of baseball, is a natural. He has lit up our fields with his passion for the game and is a joy to watch play. Kyle, Kate’s Husband, is active Military, who has selflessly dedicated his time to assist coaching and contributed greatly to community events like bringing the Humvee for the memorable Veterans Day Parade last fall. You will find Kate staying busy around the fields with their two little girls, while always keeping an eye on what Teddy will do next, cheering him on as his biggest fan. Kate is an incredible mother, who has shown tremendous strength and openness in communicating her journey thus far, ensuring her kids are involved every step of the way.

Today, we stand at a crossroads where we can make a difference. With Kate's blessing and the approval of our board, we are launching a fundraiser to offer tangible support to the Marks family during this challenging period.

Let's come together to alleviate the financial burden on the Marks family. Your donations will go directly towards medical expenses and any additional support they may need during this period.
