Lola Hope Duncan

After running a fever for thirteen days, Lola Hope Duncan, a precocious three year old from Marshall, Texas was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphacitic Leukemia.   Her chemotherapy to help combat this disease will begin today. Lola Hope will be hospitalized for the next eight days at Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, and then she will continue her treatment at the Ronald McDonald House for a minimum of 29 days. 

Her parents, Dusty and Courtney, will be traveling from Marshall to Ft. Worth, Texas for her care. That is a three hour drive; therefore, both Dusty and Courtney will be putting a strain on not only themselves but their jobs. Dusty is employed at Marshall Mineral and has very little sick/vacation time. Courtney is a 3rd grade teacher at South Marshall Elementary. Although, they are both employed, the strain of needing to be there for Lola Hope multiplies the stress factor for them. In addition, The Duncan family recently celebrated the exciting news of a future addition to their family. Courtney is expecting. This should be a joyous time for them. Instead it is a time of uncertainty filled with multiple levels of anxiety. Their strong devotion to God will help to get them through this difficult time, but it will not help their finances.

We are asking you to help ease this financial hardship as they travel this long road to recovery. Lola Hope, Courtney, and Dusty appreciate your love and support as they tackle the hardest journey they have ever been given.

This feeling is something I would never wish on anyone...HOWEVER, I serve a risen savior who is faithful....I have been overwhelmed with emotion at the number of people who are standing in the gap for us... Calling out my sweet Lola Hope's name before our King....I have tried to respond to as many of you as I can while still loving on my baby... Please know from the bottom of our hearts, we are humbled and grateful for each call, text, post or comment... I have seen prayers answered because of you... We serve a mighty God, The Great Physician, who loves my girl more than I ever will... Please continue to lift us up over the next several hours... My sassy, sweet, bossy sweet girl will beat this... And we will bring her back to our sweet little town and her testimony will live on forever ...
