Support Candace on her Breast Cancer Journey

At the end of March 2022, Candace broke her ankle in 3 places (trimalleolar ankle fracture) leading to emergency surgery. As she was recovering, she noticed a "peau d'orange" on her right breast. After multiple doctor's appointments, a battery of tests, and lots of uncertainty, Candace was ultimately diagnosed with Inflammatory & Triple Negative breast cancer in May 2022. Since it is a rare and aggressive cancer, Candace started chemotherapy immediately in June, with a modified radical mastectomy in December, and radiation in January 2023.

Due to the rareness of her cancer, we have sought second opinions in the US to fully understand all of the available treatment options and ensure we are doing everything possible to get her cancer free.

Candace's resilience, bravery, and courage in the face of her cancer diagnosis has been extraordinary. Our focus is getting her cancer free and using this experience as motivation to thrive in the coming years.
