Zoe is 14 and has just undergone a significant open heart surgery. This, her 11th, was one of the most important.
Zoe's main heart valve was beyond repair with leakage and stenosis not enabling her heart to function properly. She is lucky to be with us, and now has a new mechanical heart valve for life and a dual pace maker.
Her mum, dad and younger brother all stick together during these times and all stop whatever is happening to be by her side!
This has been her and her families biggest hurdle... Relocating to Brisbane with all expenses that come with that, mostly renting accomodation close to the hospital which is really an unknown amount of time with no financial support other than mum's holiday leave with Dad unable to get paid leave.
Their beloved dog Jack also needs to be cared for, so is currently in a dog kennel which is yet another bill. Mortgage, school fees, telephone bills plus many more all piling up providing so much extra stress which is certainly not easy.
This family have had a tough year and really do not want to be asking for help, so as a family member close to the heart of this situation I am going to do it on their behalf and say they need your help!
Zoe's Dad, whilst still recovering from surgery (last week) himself is planning to go back to work next week and leave the family so they can cover costs.
So many people are asking how they can help and this is just one way you can.
This is by no means a charity case but a worthy cause to support a family with a long road of recovery ahead!

"Hey guys my operation is tomorrow and it's a major operation. I am having open heart surgery tomorrow to fix my leaky valve. Please could u all pray for the operation that it goes better than expected and we are believing that and praying that. I am very anxious and a bit scared. I have had heaps of operations but I am really scared and anxious. Could you guys please pray for me not to feel anxious and to give me total peace tomorrow. Tomorrow is not going to be an easy day for me or my family please pray for peace over my family and I tomorrow morning while sitting and waiting for surgery, I can't wait to just get this operation over and done. Thank you so much, love Zoe ❤️❤️
