In late May, Nate injured his back and thought it was a simple strain. Physical therapy helped briefly, but the pain worsened. In July, he woke from a nap feeling unwell and went to the ER leading to emergency spinal surgery. Doctors found a growth on his spine, and further scans revealed additional masses on his shoulder and lung.

Nate has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. The tumors are serious but there are treatment options out there. Some have metastasized and require immediate, specialized treatment.
