Over the weekend my brother was severely injured during a snowboarding accident. After trying to tough it out over a couple hours the pain finally became more than he could handle. We took him to a local emergency room where they proceeded to give him fluids and medication to make him more comfortable. After many questions, they decided to give him
a catscan. This in all was a blessing. From the catscan, doctors noticed he had crushed his kidney and he was bleeding internally. They quickly rushed him by ambulance for immediate surgery at the trauma center at UT. As a mountain of emotions and endless prayers we waited for answers. Once he arrived at the trauma center doctors evaluated his catscan. They decided to place him in ICU and monitor him over the next 48 hours. They explained that in some circumstances the organs can heal itself. As of now, the possibilities of surgery is still likely. J.R. will be at UT for around a week.  We are hoping to help him raise money to help with the medical expenses he will be faced with. All donations are greatly appreciated.
