I am setting this page up for my bestie Pam. She was disgnosed with stage 4 breast cancer last fall and I want to help by raising money for her. I have asked Pam to write her story in her words; please take a moment to read:

" I got an early present last year August 12/14 just three days before my 38th birthday...it's a gift you can't return. Cancer. Stage 2 ( triple negative) aggressive breast cancer. My biopsy followed and that's when things took off! October 15/14 was mastectomy day... Doctors gave me an all clear on October 29th (cancer free if the surgeon did his job!) but soon after I noticed a new growth very close to my surgery site...doctors have now changed my diagnosis to stage 4 metastasized (spreading and moving) Doctors started using terms like palliative and that scared me! Here we go again! Chemotherapy started for me on April 14/15. I was seen in the system as a re occurrence patient who had been down the path before even thou it was my first time... My first oncologist was very brash with me and announced shortly after starting that she would be leaving and I would be assigned a new doctor eventually... I was left to watch over my own care as to not fall into any cracks...I've been put through the ringer of our health care system! I've seen it all from surgeons who say "I'm not your death doctor" to nurses that say I'm over reacting to swelling that actually blew my stitches! Kidney stones and blood clots have plagued me through this ordeal as well. It's been a very bumpy road to say the least! My family has held strong together as we walk this journey. It's been hard financially as we have now become a one income family of five with the costs of medications ever increasing. The day to day stresses we used to face have now grown into monsters of their own. I've kept a smile on my face throughout this journey... Finding the silver lining wherever I can!

Attitude is EVERYTHING!
I may only have one match... But I can make an explosion!"

I pray every day for her recovery and I am so lucky to have Pam as my friend...she is such an amazing woman; please help me help her through this journey by giving a donation. It has been financially strenuous for her as she hasn't been able to work.
