Hi everyone,
I wanted to share Summer’s story. This past June Summer had everything going for her. She was preparing to start the job of her dreams, was raising two adorable sons, and planning her 30th birthday (on the first day of summer). Although everything seemed to be going her way, Summer was not feeling well. In the past, Summer found a small mass on her breast. It was diagnosed as a cyst and treated with antibiotics. However, when she went back to urgent care, the doctors knew something was wrong. She immediately went through a series of tests and was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. But, the bad news didn’t end there, she soon found out it had spread to her lymphoid.
Summer spent her 30th birthday mapping out an aggressive treatment plan with her doctors. She is now in her second week of chemotherapy. Her chemo treatment will continue until the fall, followed by radiation, and a double mastectomy. There is a possibly she will a hysterectomy.
As if Summer’s health issues were not enough, now she has to worry about finances to support her two sons, Christian (4) and Liam (3). Unfortunately, due to her extensive treatment plan, she has to put the job of her dreams on hold. Summer needs to concentrate on getting well. Our goal help alleviate some of her financial burden by raising money for childcare expenses (day care, food, clothing, etc.) while Summer is in treatment. Any additional funds raised will go towards Summer’s medical expenses. Summer has always put her children and family first, but now she needs our support!
We are asking you all to give what you can or share Summer’s story.
