On January 15, 2016  Jacquelyn, who is 17 months old,  went in for an MRI to begin finding answers on why she was not achiving developmental milestones and the results changed our lives forever.  The doctors discovered a brain tumor the size of a tennis ball and admitted her to the PICU immediately.  The following Tuesday she underwent surgery to remove the tumor and send it to pathology to determine if there was cancer present.  We had to wait two weeks to find our greatest fears were kept at bay when they told us the pathologists determined it was benign.  Now Jacquelyn the Brave is on her road to recovery but the medical bills for the operation and two week hospital stay are starting to roll in.  She is also still going through physical, occupational & speech therapy as well as follow up appointments with several doctors.  She will continue to have follow up testing to make sure the tumor does not come back and to monitor the swelling in her brain.  The medical care will be something that continues for years to come.  Any donation to this relief fund will be put toward her health care as she is still so young and this will follow her for the rest of her life.  This has been a humbling experience for the entire family and we are eternally grateful for any donation you can make.
