Caring for someone 24/7 for 10 years completely without any outside help and never even half a day off all those years. Mom was bed ridden for 2 years o I had to spoon feed her, clean her, change the bedding. But I also had to hug her, Entertain her and get her to breath whenever the Alzheimer's mad her brain forget how to breath. So I had to sit in a chair nest to her bed 24 hours a day.
After Mom passed I tried to get a job I have three degrees but now live in a more rural, agriculture town. The nearest city is 60 miles from here. My care broke down 3 years ago and I can't afford to fix it. I have not had the money to pay my property taxes for 4 years. After I pay the rent for the land this manufactured home is on. I have $150 left over for bills. There usually is nothing left for food each month. I try selling artwork online but that is sporadic.
I need to hire someone to pull the carpeting out and lay the hardwood floors. I have the wood in the garage but with all my physical disabilities and age, I can't do it alone. If I could fix the house up I could rent a room and be able to then start paying taxes.
I withdrew my retirement fund early to pay for Mom's medical needs but 9 years ago my account was hacked and every penny was stolen by a guy in Russia. I wasn't able to retrieve even a dime. This only leaves me my Social Security Retirement.
I live in fear of having my house taken from me because of the back taxes. I owe around $5,000. Stress can really increase the pain. It will cost me about $2,000 to have the car repaired (the part is $5,000 but if I can find a used one it will be a lot less.) I estimate $1,000 to have the rugs taken out and flooring put in. $100--200 to have the water heater repaired. It have been 8 month with no hot water. I need an electrician because I have no working lights in the kitchen I think that might be $100-200. I certainly wouldn't mind being able to stock the house with with food basic. This could run $300-400.
