Braden Massey was born with Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita. He has little to no muscles in his arms and legs plus his joints are backwards. Braden is a quadriplegic with a sharp mind whose limbs are useless. Can you imagine being unable to scratch an itch on your nose, chest, arm, leg or anywhere?
Braden has a contagious smile and never meets a stranger. He has a happy-go-lucky attitude and blesses those who meet him. He loves puzzles, card games, art, and solving problems. He solves math problems in his head faster than his friends find the answers with calculators. He uses his mouth to write and paint.
Braden’s mother, Kelley Massey, is college educated but must be available 24/7/365 to attend to Braden’s needs and therefore cannot seek employment to pay for a handicap van for transportation to doctors, physical therapy, schools, etc.
The seventeen-year-old handicap van she drives was a gift a few years ago, from generous friends but is now on its last legs. The funds we raise will be used to purchase a low mileage used van that has been converted for handicap access.
If you are fortunate to meet Braden and Kelley, you will never forget their happy attitudes and infectious smiles.
