Tuesday, May 7, was a normal day for the Browns and their 5 (soon to be 6!) children. Until their one-year-old, Elias, managed to snag a cup of hot coffee off the table and pull it over on himself.
The Browns hastily arranged for childcare for their other kids and rushed Elias to the nearest hospital. From there, they were transferred by ambulance to a larger hospital an hour away, and Elias was admitted to ICU with burns covering 14% of his body.
He was eventually able move from ICU to the burn unit, and has now been in the hospital for one week and counting.
The family has some medical coverage, but it will not cover all of the medication, ongoing therapy appointments, or the time off work Elias's dad has missed and will continue to miss to accommodate his ongoing treatment and the family's other needs. The Browns look to God first and foremost and appreciate any prayers on their behalf. If anyone can also give materially, our goal of $4,000 would help the family through this difficult time.
