Papa Smurf, our sweet and resilient boy, suddenly showed concerning neurological symptoms which led to an urgent visit to the vet. Bloodwork revealed elevated liver enzymes and other neurological issues, possibly mini strokes, which made the situation even more serious. The vets offered an MRI to get a clearer picture of what’s going on; the Neurologist is keeping him hospitalized for the MRI scheduled for tomorrow morning. We’re hopeful that this will provide us with answers soon, but it's heartbreaking to see him so unwell, especially since he’s such a happy, tough boy who loves his family and neighbors. He truly deserves the best care and support as he fights through this unexpected health crisis.
