HELP GLENN, OUR HOMETOWN HERO, IN HIS BATTLE WITH CANCER
Spende geschützt
Our dear friend Glenn Martone is beginning a new phase of treatment for metastatic cancer. He will be having both chemotherapy and radiation at Sloan Kettering. Glenn is a 69 year old self employed contractor and hence is self insured. Although Glenn has continued to work as much as he has been able, this next phase of treatment will be intense and his ability to work will be greatly limited.
Anyone who has had the pleasure of knowing Glenn knows the kind of man that he is, and the values that he holds dear. For over 40 years Glenn has been a very active member of the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department, having served on the Board of Directors and as both President and Chief. In addition to his extensive volunteer work with the BVFC Glenn for many years went on mission trips with the Congregational Church of Brookfield. Glenn volunteered his time helping the disadvantaged here in Sharon CT, in Boston MA, and on an Indian Reservation in South Dakota.
In short Glenn has always been very generous and giving with his time, treasure, and talent. Now, Glenn is in a position where he needs our help. Not only will Glenn’s ability to work be limited at best, he will also have to contend with expenses for copays and daily travel. We humbly ask you to do what you can to help us help Glenn through this next round of treatment.
