Still trying to help my dad

I wanted to give you guys an update, it’s July now, my father has been in and out of the hospitals, He’s still in a skilled nursing facility, in the past 5 months or so Kevin has spoken maybe 4 words, at a whisper, due to his stroke communication is limited. The bills still haven’t stopped. My father does have state issued insurance but it’s still not enough to cover all his expenses, I’m trying to stay as diligent as I can with my

his health, and well being. I’m really trying to put my best foot forward for my pops during these times, a lot of times I’m doing so blindly, I’m uncertain of his wishes in full. I do know that he’s a fighter and I’ll continue to fight for him, to the best of my ability, so my apologies for the delayed updates. As much as I’d love for my father to be back to his normal self, his fight still continues. Prayers are welcomed and very much appreciated as well.

Hey there, my name is Tracey & This GoFundMe campaign is for my father, Mr. Kevin Nesbitt, he’s currently undergoing a multitude of health issues.

The reason that I’m here and sharing, is because I’m making a heartfelt request for monetary donations to provide him with 24-hour nursing care, and grant him access to medical doctors and specialists.  

These funds will also assist me, his only son with uninsured accumulating medical bills.

Unfortunately Kevin Nesbitt has suffered multiple strokes, failed kidneys, no speech or motor skills, in addition to needing a feeding tube. My father needs around the clock care due to these issues. My father is a prideful man, and has quietly been fighting these health issues for over a year plus now. Initially the strokes were scary but he was still somewhat a shell of himself. Over the course of the last 6-7 months his situation has intensified the strokes increased, his body started shutting down and needless to say he’s not nearly the Kevin Nesbitt we all know and love.

One thing is certain, his will to live. His fight. My pops is my first giant.

He raised me up in the streets of NYC, I watched him work 30 + years as a Stage hand, earning and fighting his way into one of the most prestigious Staging Unions in the country. IATSE LOCAL 1.

Seeing my father work all over the city, at every major theater you can think of was one of the highlights of my childhood.

The first person who introduced me to my love for the arts.

My father has always had a larger than life personality and everyone who knows him can attest to this, and to now see him this way, it’s heartbreaking. Not only for myself, but for his granddaughters as well.
