Hello, my name is Antony Castillo, I am just 29 years old, I had a good life; I was an independent young man, a good and responsible father, a good partner, hardworking and dedicated. Unfortunately, one night of November 2022, being at the wrong place, at the wrong time, a man assaulted me with a gun and shot me 4 times. My life hung on the balance for several weeks until thankfully, God decided to give me a second chance at life.

As a result of the attack, one of the bullets severed my spine, leaving me in a wheelchair for the rest of my life, while another of the four bullets landed in my brain. The bullet that fractured in my brain causes me debilitating migraines which my doctors have told me are permanent and I will basically live in pain for the rest of my days. Meanwhile, my attacker is out on bail, walking, continuing his life as if nothing happened, as if the permanent damage he caused me, my life, my children’s life didn’t happen.

Though I am extremely thankful to be alive and be able to see my two boys grow up, I am in a terrible financial position as I have no means to provide for myself or my children. I’m currently adjusting my immigration status and am not eligible for any government assistance, which is why I’ve turned to this go fund me to reach out for some help.
