Old Man Winter had different plans for my Christmas.   When we learn to defend we go in knowing that there are no guarantees in life.   We can do our best and still get knocked down.  The difference about the practitioner who's constantly practicing and learning to navigate breakdowns and unexpected events is that they build a never give up attitude.  The worst-case scenario training has taught them to be solution oriented and find a way.  

☐  Over the Christmas weekend my School flooded and destroyed my equipment, my mat, the walls and about half the ceiling.  The damage is extensive, about 50k in overall damage.  The LandLord is helping with the walls.  Of course my insurance company only covers human injury and fire damage, no water.  They failed to tell me I didn't check the box on my self service checkout form for equipment damage and sales reps are hard to get on the phone.  I left several messages for my rep and I still haven't heard from him.  I had to call a few more times only to talk to the receptionist. 

I will once again take the Lemons and Make Lemonade.  Asking for help beats on my Spirit, but I know we all need help sometimes.  The 50k retail is going to be prorated by a great landlord (His Crew) and Ed M's relentlessness to get the job done.
