Chris Thorpe & Family

Our friend Chris Thorpe is a courageous, resilient guy who recently received a new heart. Previous to this gift of life he had been waiting 111 days in the hospital prior to getting word that a perfect heart match had been found. Ever since his surgery Chris has been battling a number of medical setbacks. His wife Lori has been at his side 24 hours a day since his transplant and like Chris is mighty and courageous. She is also considered a frontrunner for "Wife of the Year." It is anticipated that Chris' hospital stay will extend longer than initially expected as his body acclimates to his new heart and overcomes and defeats the additional medical challenges that have occurred since his transplant.

Chris has been  unable to work since February 2019 which has presented financial challenges. Also, prior to Chris' celebrated release from the hospital, the Thorpe's home will require costly but essential accommodations as Chris continues his recovery in the comfort of his home.
