This is the newest edition to our family.  Sawyer Trace Jones - Dave and Crystal’s third boy. He's the sweetest and we love him so, so much.

He's a little over 2 months old and was born with cataracts in both eyes and moderate to severe hearing loss. He's already undergone 2 surgeries to correct the cataracts and will have to wear glasses and hearing aids and receive learning support to help him navigate the world with compromised sight and hearing.

Needless to say, it has been a challenging time for Dave, Crystal and the boys. It's hard enough having a newborn (and 2 other kids) let alone a child that requires special care.

The many long trips back and forth to Children's hospital on the mainland leaves little time for work and the added medical costs have placed financial strain on an family that already has enough to worry about.
