Help Steve Ray with Medical and Care Costs

Family and Friends,

Earlier this year, Steve Ray (father of Kelsie Ray, husband to Pam Ray) was diagnosed with Wernicke-Korsakoff Syndrome - a chronic neurological/memory disorder. Due to its chronic nature, Steve will require permanent assistive care from his family and professionals in order to experience the most comfort.

It resulted in multiple days and nights at Cobb Hospital. During this time, Steve also suffered a mild stroke that had an increased effect on his condition. His wife, Pam, is now faced with the challenges presented in permanent caregiving while having to maintain bills and the integrity of the household. We want to keep him at home with his wife and pets as long as possible.

That is exactly why we are creating this GoFundMe. This will be a long journey with a lot of speed bumps. By donating, we can create financial security for Pam and Steve as the hospital bills begin to mount. We can create the possibility of hiring a permanent caregiver. As it stands now, we are trying to hold it together as a family. We are praying often. We are reaching out to everyone and anyone we know for guidance. That is all we know to do at this moment in time.

We want to thank everyone who has taken the time out of their day to provide advice to myself, Kelsie or Pam. Without it, we would be lost and alone. Steve greatly appreciates it. We will keep our faith strong and hold on to the belief that we can provide the best life possible for Steve. If a monetary donation is not possible, we will simply be happy with prayers or advice. Even if you would like to donate time to spend with Steve, it would mean a lot.

All donations will go directly towards Steve's medical and care giving expenses. Donations will also go towards his wife Pam. She has had to take multiple weeks off work to be by his side daily at the hospital which has led to a significant loss of income.
