Jamie was standing on an inflatable slide when the wind picked up and knocked it over, causing her to fall 20’. She broke her sacrum, pelvis, and fractured several vertebrae. It has required a major surgery and she is 2 months into rehab. Jamie is an amazing woman who is going to have several more months of rehab. Between the ER, hospital stay, rehab stay, and ongoing therapy, the total cost could well exceed $100k. Her parents have turned their lives upside down to help her, and she’s even made it back to work in time to teach this year! I’m starting this go fund me with the hopes that we can help out with meeting the insurance deductible and out of pocket and maybe cover some of the other incidental expenses. Though we are so thankful that Jamie is alive and not paralyzed, she has a long road ahead of her and I think it would be great if she could focus all her energy on healing, and not medical bills.
