Rizzo's Surgery

A couple weeks ago this sweet, energetic, playful and cuddly little man started to lose his sparkle. As every day went on he started to stop playing, jumping, barking and started shaking. At first the vet thought he may have had an injury but though it could be muscular and just needed time to heal. Saturday my Best Friend called me in frantic tears. Rizzo's back legs quit working. This little guy is her baby and stays with her and keeps her company when Chris who is a Firefighter is gone on his shifts. He is loved dearly by Amy, Chris, Blake and Laney. After taking him to the Emergency Vet they concluded he needed further testing and imaging. They found that something was wrong with his spine. The very next day Chris and Amy drove him to Purdue and waited their turn for him to be seen. They concluded after a CAT scan the he had a herniated disk between T12 and T13. Surgery was necessary to get him walking again and out of pain. Surgery was completed and he is currently in recovery. He has a long road to recovery. Amy is by far one of the most giving and caring people I know and this Family is always giving to others and helping in anyway they can. Now it's our turn to give to them. Let's help them take care of these very, VERY expensive VET bills that has helped save their Rizzo. Any contribution big or small will be greatly appreciated and they have no idea we are doing this!
