The Rad Life of Lee Ahlbrandt
Donación protegida
We want to honor our dear friend, Theo Lee Ahlbrandt. He was a friend to many, a brother and a devoted father. Lee valiantly fought brain cancer for eight years, but unfortunately, it finally got the best of him on Nov 16, 2022. He was only 52 years old when he passed. In true Lee Ahlbrandt fashion, he did not go down without a fight; he was initially given five years to live but was unwilling to accept that prognosis and stretched it to eight years! It takes guts to take on that kind of fight, and he did it with grace and dignity.
Lee was a man of many talents. Not only did he own a successful landscaping & irrigation business, he was also a brilliant chef and clever musician. Lee had a zest for music, fishing, gardening, cooking, dancing, being with his friends and his girlfriend Carla, spending time in Colorado and traveling to Hawaii as often as he could to spend time with his sister, Lici, and her sons. But above all, his greatest joy and passion was his son, Ace! What an amazing young man Ace has become. When his dad needed him, he dug deep and stepped up to the plate to see his father through the hard times of struggling with brain cancer.
Many folks have asked what they can do and where they can donate in memory of Lee. A few of us friends and Lee’s sister started thinking about that & decided the best course of action to honor Lee would be to create a fund for Ace. Ace is only 13 and has a bright future ahead. He has a terrific mother, Nikki, who will be by his side every step of the way. He also has a loving set of grandparents and his devoted Aunt Lici to help guide him through some of life’s challenges. However, he also has a future without his father. That’s tough for a young man to work through. We think Lee would approve of us setting up a fund available for Ace later on down the road.
If you’d like to donate and help us set up a lil cushion for Ace in memory of his dad, feel free to do so right here.
We love and miss you, Lee! Thank you for being the gentle soul, true-spirited, kindhearted man you were -with a wicked sense of humor to boot! We are all better people, having had you in our lives for the time we did!
